JAGUAR IS RUMOURED to be readying a Range Rover rival called the J-Pace.
Not content with their current domination of the SUV market, Jaguar Land Rover is readying a rival to one of its own cars. Rumoured to be called J-Pace, it is likely to be similar in size and price to the current range rover, and will sit below the Evoque rivalling F-Pace (pictured above in concept form) in the Jaguar range when it goes on sale.
Expect prices starting around £70k, rising towards £100k for top spec and sports models. We also expect a high performance R and possibly R-S models to join later to take on the Range Rover Sport as well as Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and the forthcoming Laborghini Urus.
On sale with a choice of petrol and diesel engines as well as a rumoured plug-in hybrid powertrain, it is unclear at this stage whether the J-Pace will share architecture and technology with the Range Rover or will use in-house parts borrowed from the XJ.
